1. Folly Beach
Folly Beach is easily known as one of the best beaches in Charleston. (if not THE best)! It’s nicknamed the Edge of America as it’s one of the most relaxing places on Earth. Along with locals and tourists, artists often flock to Folly Beach so that they can paint the scenery. Put Folly at the top of your list!
2. Edisto Beach
Are you looking for a nice beach with minimal traffic? This is ranked one of the best beaches in Charleston because it’s kids friendly. You can easily rent bikes and go family biking or just take a stroll with your favorite people.
3. Capers Island
This spot is a little bit further from the downtown area of Charleston. You’re looking at about an hour’s drive from downtown Charleston. However, it’s routinely ranked as one of the best beaches in Charleston and South Carolina in general. 4. Bulls Island
Another adventure is in store for you if you’re looking to visit Bulls Island! Bulls Island is the largest of four barrier islands found within the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. 5. Sullivan’s Island
Sullivan’s Island is located about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston and is ranked as having some of the best beaches. It is also near the entrance of the Charleston Harbor.
