Sea lions basking at Bait Barge
Here at Speedboat Adventures we love our California sea lions, which is why bait barge (pictured above) is one of our favorite destinations to hit on the speed boat tour. California sea lions can be found all over but get their name designation because of their extremely large population in the golden state. There is no doubt about it, the sea lion is in love with California and we are too! Today we present to you our favorite facts about the adorable California sea lion:
Sea! We ain’t lion when we say, sea lions rule! Come sea for yourselves!
Mother’s Day is just days away now. If you’re still unsure of what to do for mom on her special day you’ve clicked to the right post. We’ve taken the time to plan a whole day of fun that mom is sure to remember you as her favorite for! Let her sleep in today and invite her instead, for brunch at Florent Restaurant & Lounge in the Gaslamp District. There you can indulge in endless mimosas and short-rib eggs Benedict, as she reminisces about when you weren’t even old enough to drink.
After brunch, pamper mom at a relaxing spa at L’Auberge Del Mar where she can enjoy bottomless champagne and even more mimosas while she takes in the ocean. What better way to say “thank you for taking care of me all these years.” We guarantee she will call you her favorite!
After relaxing for a spell wake her senses up with an adventure speed boat tour! You and mom get to cruise along in your own speed boat on the San Diego bay, following a trusted and cheerful tour guide. Of course we advise waiting until after your buzzes have worn off after all those mimosas!
For dinner, we recommend ending your epic Mother’s Day extravaganza with Island Prime and C Level Lounge. From 11am – 7pm on Sunday, May 8th, Chef Deborah Scott serves her special 3-course menu for $59.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids. Treat Mom to classic Lobster Bisque, Macadamia Crusted Pacific Seabass or Roquefort Crusted Filet Mignon! We’re salivating just thinking about it!
